Hi All,
I hope you all had a great Christmas and a Happy New Year. Unfortunately our results either side of the festive season were not what we would have wished but hopefully Steve Boden, his staff and his squad will identify our problems and will be putting them right.
As I’m sure you will all be aware our next away game is a week Saturday on January 27th when we travel to Ealing Trailfinders for what is probably going to be our hardest game of the season. Hopefully the lads will be able to reproduce the form that we showed earlier in the season away at Ealing in the Cup.
Our coach will depart from Buckley’s depot in Blaxton at 9am and, after our usual pick ups in Branton, Cantley and Armthorpe, should arrive at the club at 9.30am. From there it will pick up opposite the Winning Post on Balby Road at about 9.50am before heading south to London. The coach will leave Ealing for the return journey 30 minutes after the end of the game. If you are leaving your car at the club please do so on the limestone car park.
The cost of the coach is £1290 which, based on no supporter having to pay more than £30, will mean we will need 43 to break even. However, this year to date we are running at a surplus of just over £900 so we are putting a minimum target of 20 supporters with any loss we may make being offset against our current surplus.
We will be running our usual raffle and Guess the Score competition (current prize £181 plus what we take on the day) and volunteers to help run both are welcome.
To reserve your place on the coach please text me back by noon on Monday, January 23nd on 079 7711 2706. As usual I will update the numbers who have signed up in the Away Match section of the Knights Forum
If you plan to go to the game may I recommend that we book your ground or stand ticket online to avoid the holdups we have previously experienced when arriving at Ealing.
Regards,
John
