Hi All,
Those of you who travelled to Northampton Saints with us recently will be aware that we had a “hard day at the office”. However those who watched the Saints narrowly lose away to last season’s Premiership runners up Sale Sharks last Sunday on TV will realise what a good side they have become particularly following some of their summer signings.
Our next away match is on Saturday, October 28th and, as usual, we will be putting our supporters coach. This will cost us £770 so, based on our maximum cost per head of £30 will require us to have 26 on board to cover our cost. However, if we can get that number up to 31 adults we can afford to reduce the cost to £25. Even better, 39 will mean it could go down to £20. Seeing that we had 42 on the coach to Saints with the match being live on TV these are numbers which could be possible.
Our match coincides with theRugby World Cup final which could include England if they can overcome the Springboks in the semi- final. However the travel logistics mean that we should be able to fit in both matches as ours kicks off at 3pm and the cup final at 8pm.
So, our coach will leave Buckley’s garage in Blaxton at 10.30am and, after our usual pickups in Auckley, Blaxton, Cantley and Armthorpe, should arrive at Castle Park by 11am. If you are planning to leave your car there please use the Limestone one. From there we will proceed to pick up opposite the Winning Post on Balby Road by 11.30 before we set off south on the A1 to Cambridge. We will set off back straight after the match which means we should get back in time for the World Cup final.
If you wish to book a seat on the coach please text me back on 079 7711 2706 as soon as possible. I will keep posting updates on numbers on our Knights Forum.
As usual volunteers to help with our raffle and Guess the Score competition will be very welcome.
Regards
John
