Hi, I run a family tour operator to Jersey. We have done several bookings for other supporters going over to Jersey for the game. We are Atol protected and have relationships with many hotels, so can create a great weekend away. Please visit www.go-jersey.com or our page on Facebook. Our email address is [email protected] Many thanks Simon
To anyone on their way to Jersey, I've received this message and post it in good faith.
Hi Sir Spicious
I'm writing to you directly as I don't want to spam your forum.
My name is Neil; I'm a Jersey Reds fan and also the landlord of The Trafalgar Inn pub in St Aubin Jersey.
I just wanted to try and reach your travelling fans as I think they'd enjoy St Aubin and our pub but I'm unsure of how to reach them. Would you be able to suggest a suitable contact or channel on social media?
I'm not sure if you've visited Jersey previously, St Aubin is Jersey’s picturesque fishing port with lots of history and some really amazing restaurants and some fine drinking establishments and should not be missed.
This could be seen as a shameless plug but we genuinely believe that your travelling members should know of The Trafalgar Inn prior to travelling as we’re a keen rugby pub and - while we're proud supporters of Jersey Reds - we're a welcoming place and always delighted to see visiting fans. Plus: - We have been and will be showing every match of the Rugby World Cup, opening 30 minutes before the earliest game if it’s earlier than our normal opening hours - We’ve 5 real ales on at any one time and have just been included in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide 2020. - We're an ideal stop-off between the Rugby Club and St Helier if taking the number 15 bus. - You'll always likely to meet some of the Jersey players on the evening of the game as the front bar, with live music, is always very popular. - You'll hear great live music Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings. - For those who are less keen on crowds during the evening are back bar is a pleasant haven which is where you’ll find our ale pumps.
For those who prefer to head back to St Helier I'd recommend to the Lamplighter for good Beers and Ciders and as a place to watch the Rugby. For live music The Blue Note and The Troubadour are always worth checking out.
Good luck to your team and I hope your travelling members and fans enjoy their stay.
martinc: Enjoy your trip to Jersey lads. COYK! COYK! COYK!

kenner: Just a Question if I may? Why after a season and on to the second can we not get an actual picture of Aaron Carpenter on the players site? Did not someone just take team photos?
Sept 21, 2017 19:35:08 GMT
Sir Spicious: I fear there are rumours that Aaron may, in fact, be a vampire and as such his image does not reflect in mirrors nor can it be captured in a photo. I should, however, warn you this may be fake news.

funches: How come there's only 3 games this weekend? Is it just scheduling or?
Mar 10, 2018 10:24:11 GMT
thomasmachin: It would appear that if we are to replace the departing players we had better be quick or all the available players will be signed by Ealing ,Coventry and Cornish Pirates!

barbelhunter: What a great re signing that is.

donnyknightsfan: that was absolutely dire today almost from start to finish apart from a spell in the 2nd half when we looked OK. players don't look motivated enough to me. they need a kick up the backside. the next two games v Bedford and Irish look a tough ask now.

rodders: A bit random this one but are any Knights fans travelling to the Jersey game on Friday 1st March flying from East Midlands on the 10.55 flight out. 2 of us are looking for a lift to East Midlands airport unexpectedly. Happy to share costs of travel

donnyknightsfan: after yesterday's showing a new attacking coach and structure is needed ASAP. our attack is really poor. why don't we ever look to create space?. you're not going to beat championship defences by just running straight at them.

thomasmachin: I would support any reasonable suggestion to support the Club
