Bob Briggs has not been too well of late so I have agreed to help him and Chris by taking over the responsibility for the organisation of our supporters' coaches for the next few months.
The first coach I would like to organise is to Cross Keys in South Wales for the Knights opening B&I Cup game on Saturday, October 11th (subject to confirmation). The coach will leave Castle Park between 8am and 9am (depending on kick off time) and should get back about 10pm. I am looking to book the same 32 seater coach that we had to Tynedale. To cover the cost (after using the surplus we had from the Tynedale game) we need a minimum of 20 adult supporters paying £25 each.
i would hope that sufficient Knights supporters would want to show their allegiance to the Knights by travelling to shout for the team. I know that the B&I Cup is not everyone's "cup of tea" but it is important that we continue to support the Knights at every opportunity. We have a very good squad and it may give us a chance to see some of our other players. I would also be very surprised if Griff doesn't take this competition very seriously. For their part, Cross Keys, who were beaten finalists a couple of seasons ago, will be difficult opposition and will no doubt be representing Gwent with pride.
it you would like to support the Knights and wish to reserve your place on the coach, will you please let me know as soon as possible by either texting me on 07977112706, emailing me at johnlowe0002@gmail.com (this is my new address), entering your name on this thread or letting me know at this Sunday's match in Leeds.
Many thanks,
John
