I don't know how many of you have seen the notice on the club website but we are trying to introduce a "turn left" policy at the top of the drive when leaving after a match. Experience has shown that traffic backs up the drive if cars try to turn right onto Armthorpe Road. So please, please, when leaving the ground in the half an hour or so after any Knights home game, turn left. If you need to go into Armthorpe or beyond, please drive the 300 yards up to the roundabout on Leger Way and then go round it and come back down Armthorpe Road past the club. It may add a minute onto your journey but you, and many others, will save far more time getting out if you follow this simple request.
Is it possible for someone to explain what is happening with car parking. As far as I am aware the car parking arrangements next to Sandall Beat Wood have (without notice) been drastically reduced. Is this permanent . I ask this in the light of Rotherham being the first home league match and the possibility of there being a very large crowd. Any information would be greatly appreciated
Two mini-junior pitches have been created in the freed up area of parking so I'm guessing it's a permanent move. Notwithstanding the inconvenience for spectators, there must be implications on match day income so unless there is some greater strategic plan, I'm not sure what we're gaining. Perhaps someone from the club could elucidate - but don't hold your breath.
I was told that late arrivals were directed to the Danum School car park up the road but, when they got there, the gates were locked. Poor communication if true and even that will only hold about another 120 cars which will be nowhere near enough for our big matches.
Hopefully Michael John will put us all out of our misery and tell us what the plan is.
Sadly John it wasn't just late arrivals. We know of a loyal Knights fan who arrived before 2pm was directed to the school couldn't park and consequently very unhappily missed watching the game. He said he watched numerous cars turnaround and drive off. Unbelievable planning for any game but especially an International match when we could have attracted new fans.
Sorry I have to say, the announcement about parking today..... come on do we really think that is going to entice people into coming to the club to watch the games this season, please come but we have no where for you to park and there is nowhere locally to park either! Travelling fine who don't come on supporters coaches, well sorry you will have to park in Doncaster town centre and get the bus!! Who has made this decision!
If you are from the Isle of Axeholme, you might consider watching Thorne in Yorkshire 2 - just a thought! Mind you with crowds of 1000+ expected at Thorne this coming season you might need to park in Stainforth or Moorends and catch a bus?
1 As season ticket holders who have to drive to the club we will be very disappointed if we cannot park there. 2 As members of the club we are disappointed that no reference was made to us before this decision was made. 3 As attendees of the last AGM we are flabbergasted that additional pressure has been placed on the club's revenue generating potential, when it is in a loss making situation. 4 As true supporters of the game we are fully behind the development of the mini-juniors and other youth teams, but would hope that a professional (as we are led to believe) management team would be able to arrive at a better solution to this problem. 5 We will continue to support the Knights in our most vocal manner and enjoy the spectacle that they bring to the field. 6 Many opposition fans on visiting Castle Park have commented how good the facilities are, it will be a crying shame if they are unable to enjoy them in future. 7 We look forward to a prompt resolution of this parking issue. 8 We are sure that Griff would not accept this level of decision making from the team. 9 SORT IT OUT.

kenner: Just a Question if I may? Why after a season and on to the second can we not get an actual picture of Aaron Carpenter on the players site? Did not someone just take team photos?
Sept 21, 2017 19:35:08 GMT
Sir Spicious: I fear there are rumours that Aaron may, in fact, be a vampire and as such his image does not reflect in mirrors nor can it be captured in a photo. I should, however, warn you this may be fake news.

thomasmachin: It would appear that if we are to replace the departing players we had better be quick or all the available players will be signed by Ealing ,Coventry and Cornish Pirates!

donnyknightsfan: that was absolutely dire today almost from start to finish apart from a spell in the 2nd half when we looked OK. players don't look motivated enough to me. they need a kick up the backside. the next two games v Bedford and Irish look a tough ask now.

rodders: A bit random this one but are any Knights fans travelling to the Jersey game on Friday 1st March flying from East Midlands on the 10.55 flight out. 2 of us are looking for a lift to East Midlands airport unexpectedly. Happy to share costs of travel

donnyknightsfan: after yesterday's showing a new attacking coach and structure is needed ASAP. our attack is really poor. why don't we ever look to create space?. you're not going to beat championship defences by just running straight at them.

thomasmachin: I would support any reasonable suggestion to support the Club

Sir Spicious: Sorry, Lock. I think most of us forget to check the Shoutbox so it wasn't bad manners that we ignored you, more bad habits. Welcome to the chat. Look forward to your contributions. New voices are always welcome.
