Hi All,
Our next away game is at Coventry on Saturday, September 18th and our coach will leave Buckley’s garage at 10.45am. From there it will make its usual pickups in Branton, Cantley and Armthorpe on route to Castle Park to arrive at 11.15am. Please park on the gravel car park if you are leaving your car at the club. From the club the coach will proceed to the Winning Post on Balby Road for 11.30am before heading south.
The coach will depart Coventry for the return journey at 5.45pm.
The cost will be £15 for adults and £8 for juniors. It would be helpful if you have the right money.
We will be running our usual Guess the Score and Raffle and volunteers to help with both and prizes for the latter would be very much appreciated.
May I remind you that I have spoken to Richard Buckley, the owner of the coach company we use and he has advised me that, all of their coaches are of modern design with high standard ventilation systems which will be on throughout our journeys. They have an enhanced cleaning regime including using a “fogging machine” which uses a fine spray to apply a chemical solution to sanitise all surfaces. Following the latest advice they have been given they can use all 49 seats as they are all forward facing and they provide sanitised gel for you to use as you get on and off the coach. You will be asked to wear a face mask when you get on the coach which you can take off as soon as you sit down. However the masks have to be replaced if you stand up or move around such as when I collect in fares, our volunteers sell raffle or Guess the Score tickets, when handing out prizes or when distributing goodies, etc. Richard is quite happy for us to continue taking alcohol and food onto the coach. These arrangements worked perfectly well for last Saturday’s match at Newcastle.
Please text me back on 07977112706 to reserve your seat.
After our positive performance at Newcastle on Saturday, I am sure the squad would appreciate as much support as possible as they seek to get our league season off to the best possible start.
Regards
John
