Why do you have to be such a dick. The club, like almost all others, is facing serious financial hardship and it is unfair to expect Steve and Tony to bail us out everytime. The Crowdfunder appeal is not a VAT ruse as you are suggesting. By pulling various fundraising streams together under one roof it gives us all a chance to help the club out. By linking them all together it gives those of us who are being positive the opportunity to pre-purchase our season ticket to give the club some urgently needed cash whilst, at the same time, allowing those who can afford it, to make a further donation towards the cause.
Why do you always have to be so negative. You’ve moved on from slagging off Griff to move on to something else. You’ll be easily recognisable: you’re the guy we will see walking around the club with a big chip on his shoulder. If you don’t like what we are doing why don’t you go away and join another club.
Ps. I don’t have to hide behind a false name like you are.
Looks like lots of folk are buying their season tickets this route. Why not have just put them on early sale? This a VAT avoidance route, maybe?
Hi "billhunt", do I sense a tinge of negativity in your post. I believe the supporters of the knights are coming out now to help them through this period of uncertainty and would look to all forum members to respect this and be positive about any support we can give in these uncertain times. A wise man once said "stay away from negative people, they have a problem for every solution" and I feel your comment, at this time, falls in to that category. "billhunt", jump on the bandwagon and promote this great crowdfunding event unless you know you are factually correct in which case direct us to where you see this in the 1994 Act and I will read it with interest.
Stay away from negative people, they have a problem for every solution
Quick update - the Crowdfunder just hit £20,000 & I know there are other donations that are due in soon or have been made directly to the club account - amazing work. Well done everyone!
In the latest website post i've added a video which highlights a few of the essential ongoing costs that the money will be put towards while we are unable to generate income & also cleared up a few points RE Season Tickets.
For ease though, here is the video & the Season Ticket info below.
Opting to donate for your season ticket through the Crowdfunder campaign entitles you to all the benefits of purchasing a Season Ticket in the usual fashion.
If you currently hold a 2019/20 De Mulder Lloyd Stand (DMLS) Season Ticket & opt to donate through Crowdfunder for your 2020/21 ticket you will automatically retain your seat from last season. Please remember to click the Season Ticket reward when donating - if you forget it's not a big problem though just let me know.
If you currently hold a terrace Season Ticket and opt to donate through the Crowdfunder you can either switch to a DMLS ticket for 2020/21 & we will contact you to confirm your seat or continue to watch from the terrace as usual next season.
All categories of Season Ticket will go on sale via the normal channels following the conclusion of the campaign with prices frozen from 2019/20. This might mean that donating through Crowdfunder represents a discount for you - happy days! However, you can donate any amount (over £200) for your ticket if you wish to do so.
Unfortunately due to government policy, I can’t afford to donate at the moment. When my temporary agency job pays me, I’ll do my little bit to support the club that gave me so much in seasons past, when I was a ‘rugby player’.
Bit late to this but very well said John Lowe. it was definitely a dick-head thing to post. Dont know who the guy is but the fact that he seems to post under an assumed name (anonymously) says it all to me! I think the response to the Appeal has been tremendous and it is a credit to all those fans contributing and also a testament to the fact that the club is held in such regard that supporters are happy to dip into their pockets in these uncertain times to try to assist whatever the position regarding season tickets! Shame on you Bill Hunt whoever you are!
kenner: Just a Question if I may? Why after a season and on to the second can we not get an actual picture of Aaron Carpenter on the players site? Did not someone just take team photos?
Sept 21, 2017 19:35:08 GMT
Sir Spicious: I fear there are rumours that Aaron may, in fact, be a vampire and as such his image does not reflect in mirrors nor can it be captured in a photo. I should, however, warn you this may be fake news.

Mar 10, 2018 10:24:11 GMT
thomasmachin: It would appear that if we are to replace the departing players we had better be quick or all the available players will be signed by Ealing ,Coventry and Cornish Pirates!
Apr 20, 2018 8:14:16 GMT
barbelhunter: What a great re signing that is.

donnyknightsfan: that was absolutely dire today almost from start to finish apart from a spell in the 2nd half when we looked OK. players don't look motivated enough to me. they need a kick up the backside. the next two games v Bedford and Irish look a tough ask now.

rodders: A bit random this one but are any Knights fans travelling to the Jersey game on Friday 1st March flying from East Midlands on the 10.55 flight out. 2 of us are looking for a lift to East Midlands airport unexpectedly. Happy to share costs of travel

donnyknightsfan: after yesterday's showing a new attacking coach and structure is needed ASAP. our attack is really poor. why don't we ever look to create space?. you're not going to beat championship defences by just running straight at them.

thomasmachin: I would support any reasonable suggestion to support the Club

lock: Hi, I'm new to the Knights Forum. Hello everyone!
Jun 4, 2020 10:15:57 GMT
Sir Spicious: Sorry, Lock. I think most of us forget to check the Shoutbox so it wasn't bad manners that we ignored you, more bad habits. Welcome to the chat. Look forward to your contributions. New voices are always welcome.
