The club have unilaterally announced that as we unexpectedly found out last Saturday that because of the creation of two new junior pitches car parking is no longer allowed on that part of the Woodside Field thus drastically reducing the car prking for us spectators
They very kindly advise that alternative parking is available at Danum School (if it is open) .This I believe is limited to 120 cars and is a nightmare to exit
There is a vague reference to "Plans are in place to create extra parking spaces next to the Woodside junior pitches" without giving any details
I am aware that last Saturday a substantial number of fans gave up and went home
The club encourage and they actually use the term supporters to lift share etc which I alread do or find alternative parking which is fine for those people who have made this decision presumably whilst retaining their reserved parking spaces. The person who made this statement is not in the real world and shows a total disregard for the interests of the spectators both home and visiting
I am also aware that people with walking difficulties baulk at the prospect of not being able to park at the ground and will probably give up attending
I realise that mini /junior rugby is important but is it more important than the spectators who pay eat and drink every week. This is especially important in the light of the increase in attendances last season .This is a real discouragement for fans both existing and the potential new ones
I note that this was done without notice and after the sale of season tickets. The availability of car parking fundamentally affects my decision whether or not to buy a season ticket and the sudden unilateral variation could well be a breach of contract and grounds for a refund
Can I ask the club to reconsider this poorly thought out decision
